Men's 200m Backstroke Heats

Oliver kicked off the heats of the Men's 200m Backstroke this morning in Lane 2 sharing a heat with compatriot Brodie Williams. 

Oliver maintained his strong start leading at the 150m mark before Hungary's Hubert Kos overtook him.

Oliver finished strong and placed second in his heat with a time of 1:57.61 and heads into tonight's semi-finals ranked 6th, less than half a second behind top-seeded Ryan Murphy but ahead of teammate Brodie Williams in 9th.
