Men's 100m Backstroke Semi-Finals

Oliver entered the Semi-Finals of the Men's 100m Backstroke seeded 5th and was in the second semi-final in Lane 3 with Chinese backstroke ace Xu Jiayu next to him in Lane 4.

Oliver opened in a 25.59 and came home to touch in a new PB of 53.26. Oliver sadly misses out on tomorrow night's final as he ended up placing 9th overall however this puts him as the 1st reserve going into the final.

This time now puts him 3rd all-time in Great Britain overtaking Tokyo Olympian Luke Greenbank. 

We now look ahead to Oliver's 200m Backstroke race on Thursday.
