Men's 100m Backstroke Heats

Oliver kicked off his programme in Fukuoka by racing the Men's 100m Backstroke heats this morning. Oliver went in heat 6 of 7 where the likes of former World Record Holder Ryan Murphy was in Lane 4. 

Oliver turned 2nd at the 50m mark before touching home 3rd with a time of 53.52 which is a new PB and finally - officially staking claim to the Olympic "A" cut. He progresses onto this evenings semi-finals; 5th in the heats!

This time also puts Oliver 4th all-time in Great Britain.
