World Champs 2023 - Preview

With less than 1 week to go, here is all the information you will need so you can follow Oliver's progress at the 2023 World Aquatics Championships in Fukuoka!

Fukuoka is currently 8 hours ahead of us (GMT +9:00) - so you will have to take away 8 hours ahead of their local time. Heats will begin at about 2am British time with finals due to start at around 10am British time. 

Oliver's individual events are: Men's 100m Backstroke and the Men's 200m Backstroke, and potentially the Men's 4x100m Medley Relay (subject to team selection)

Oliver will kick his programme off on Monday 24th July with the 100m Backstroke where he goes in seeded 17th ahead of teammate Cameron Brooker.

This is then followed by the Men's 200m Backstroke on Thursday, 27th July where Oliver is seeded 15th, and teammate Brodie Williams will be seeded 6th

These 2 events will include semi-finals and finals sessions subject to Oliver progressing through. Semi-finals will be swam in the finals session of the same day of the heats and finals will be swum the following day. Live updates will be posted on here. 

To finish things off, the Men's 4x100m Medley relay will be swum on Sunday, 30th July (Oliver will swim, subject to team selection)
