The World Aquatics Swimming World Cup kicked off Oliver's 23/24 season of racing where there were some strong swims produced.
On Friday, Oliver kicked off with the 200m Backstroke where he came 7th in the Morning heats with a time of 2:01.46. In the evening, Oliver bettered his heats time ending up maintaining 7th place with a 2:00.96.
The following day, Oliver raced the 50m Backstroke coming 4th in the heats with a 25.20. Oliver then dropped 8 one hundredths of a second to finish 6th with a 25.12. This time is the 3rd fastest time he's swum in the 50m Backstroke, and a new in-seasons best time.
The last day, Oliver swam the 100m Backstroke - with a strong heats swim, he ended up being top seed into the final ahead of reigning world record holder Thomas Ceccon with a 54.46. Oliver just missed out on a podium finish in the end where he placed 4th with a time of 54.23 - another in-seasons best time.

Moving forward, Oliver will next compete at the West Midlands Swimming regionals on the 4-5 November.
