2024 Olympic Games - Preview

The Olympic Games are right around the corner as Oliver prepares to make his Team GB Olympic debut!
Oliver's individual events are: Men's 100m Backstroke and the Men's 200m Backstroke, and potentially both the Mixed 4x100m Medley Relay and the Men's 4x100m Medley Relay (both subject to team selection)
Oliver will kick his programme off on Sunday, 28th July with the 100m Backstroke where he goes in joint 6th fastest seed. Compatriot Jonny Marshall entered in 13th. Oliver is entered on his British Record time of 52.70, which he achieved in London earlier this year.
This is then followed by the Men's 200m Backstroke on Wednesday, 31st July where Oliver is seeded 16th, with teammate Luke Greenbank just behind in 19th. Oliver's entry time of 1:56.27 was achieved at the British Swimming Championships in London earlier this year as well.
These 2 events will include semi-finals and finals sessions subject to Oliver progressing through. Semi-finals will be swam in the finals session of the same day of the heats and finals will be swum the following day. Live updates will be posted on the Olympic Games hub - here.
The team events will be the Mixed 4x100m Medley Relay as GB go into this as defending Olympic Championships.
As well as the Men's 4x100m Medley Relay where the GB team have secured two 2nd Place finishes in the last 2 editions of the Olympic Games both in Rio and in Tokyo.
