Men's 4x100m Medley Relay

The stage was set for the final of the Men's 4x100m Medley Relay with GB going into the final seeded 5th. The quartet of Oliver Morgan, Adam Peaty, Duncan Scott and Matthew Richards were slated to challenge for the gold medal. The GB team were flanked by Canada in Lane 1 and USA in Lane 3.

Oliver kicked things off, leading the relay off opening his 100m Backstroke leg in a 25.39 alongside the fast-starting Ryan Murphy. Oliver touched in 4th with a time of 52.83, 0.01 faster than the time he posted in the 100m Backstroke final. 2x Olympic Gold Medallist and World Record Holder in the 50 & 100m Breaststroke; Adam Peaty took over and split a 58.16 which was the second fastest in the field. Team GB were second at the halfway mark.

Next in the water was the versatile Duncan Scott who split a 51.30 on his butterfly leg handing over to the 200m Freestyle runner-up Matthew Richards who brought the team home 4th splitting an impressive 47.31. 

The team ended up coming home 4th with a time of 3:29.60, just over a second shy of the medals which went to China, USA and France respectively.
