100m Backstroke - Heats

Oliver is through to the semi-final in 11th!

Oliver swam his first swim of the Paris Olympic Games this morning in the Men's 100m Backstroke.

Going in Lane 3 of the final heat, he had 2016 Olympic Champion Ryan Murphy next to him in Lane 4 and compatriot Jonny Marshall in Lane 2. 

Turning in 25.70, he finished strongly to place 3rd in his heat with a time of 53.44.

This time places him 11th overall after the heats which sees him go into tonight's semi-finals. Teammate Jonny Marshall also makes the semi-finals in 16th with a time of 53.93.
